Hatched and brooded here in Danville from our own breeding pen. Our pen is blue-based, so chicks come out a mix of blue, black, and splash — roughly 25% black, 50% blue, 25% splash. Feathered shanks, copper hackles, and the calm temperament the French birds are known for. Ours will sit on your lap.
Blue, black, or splash, depending on what the pen gives us that hatch. Brooded in a protected run on medicated crumbles for their first 6–8 weeks, then out on 20% flock raiser — dry and fermented, with grit, bugs, and greens.
$10 each — or 6 for $50
Fertilized, from the same blue-based pen. Collected daily, stored point-down, never washed, and set within a week. Rich reddish-brown Marans color. We add a few extras to every dozen.
$40 / dozen
Health: our chicks are not vaccinated for Marek’s — worth knowing if you’re adding to a vaccinated flock. They’re on medicated starter for coccidiosis until they outgrow it. Small closed flock, no mites or lice, and we have never lost a bird to illness.
Built by hand on the farm. Photos and pricing coming soon.
Tiered wooden countertop racks that show off a rainbow of eggs — handmade in our workshop. Each one will come with a free dozen to fill it.
Solid hardwood boards, finished food-safe. Each one a little different.
As the farm grows, we plan to offer more. Each of these has its own rules we'll follow before selling.
Richer, larger eggs prized by bakers.
Pasture-raised heritage birds, seasonal.
Point-of-lay Marans pullets, already through the fragile stage.
