These terms cover buying eggs from United Colors LLC, a small family farm in Danville, California, through unitedcolors.biz. By ordering or subscribing you agree to them.
We deliver eggs on Sundays to ZIP codes 94526, 94506, 94507, 94583, and 94596. We leave your eggs at your door and email you a photo when they’re there — please bring them in and refrigerate them promptly. Once delivered, the eggs are your responsibility. We don’t ship eggs.
Our eggs are clean and unwashed (the natural bloom is left on), gathered and refrigerated daily. Keep them refrigerated and cook them thoroughly.
For people who work at Sutter Health Danville Center, we also leave eggs once a week (on the day shown on the order page) in the 2nd floor breakroom fridge, in a carton labeled with your name, and email you a photo when they’re there. Please pick them up that day; once they’re in the fridge they’re your responsibility. Orders close two days before. Everything below applies, with that day in place of Sunday (and no insulated bag). If we ever change the day, we’ll email you first.
$10 per dozen, paid when you order. Orders for a Sunday close the Thursday before.
Price: $10 per dozen delivered. You choose 1 or 2 dozen per delivery, and how often: every Sunday, every other Sunday, or one Sunday each month.
How billing works: your subscription renews automatically every month until you cancel. On the 1st of each month we charge the card you saved for the eggs we actually delivered the month before. Skipped Sundays and anything we couldn’t deliver are not charged. Stripe emails you a receipt for each charge.
Cancel anytime, online: sign in to your account page and press Cancel subscription — it takes effect right away, and any eggs already delivered that month are billed with your final charge. You can also skip individual Sundays there, or email crew@unitedcolors.biz.
Skip, pause, or change: from your account page you can skip any Sunday, pause deliveries for up to 6 weeks (your spot is saved and nothing is charged while paused), or change how many dozen and how often. Changes apply from the next Sunday that’s still open (changes close Thursday night) and must fit our egg supply that week. Billing is always for eggs actually delivered.
Failed payments: if a charge fails, Stripe will retry and email you a link to update your card. Deliveries pause until the payment goes through.
Price changes: we’ll email you at least 30 days before any price change, and you can cancel before it takes effect.
Subscribers get their eggs in an insulated bag. Please leave it outside for the next Sunday’s delivery. If you cancel, please leave it out one more Sunday so we can pick it up. There’s no charge for the bag.
Our hens don’t lay on a schedule. If we can’t deliver everything one Sunday, subscribers simply aren’t charged for what didn’t arrive, and one-time orders are refunded for the difference. If anything is wrong with your eggs, email us within 3 days of delivery and we’ll replace them or refund you.
Chicks are sold straight run (males and females are not sorted) and picked up in Danville. Reservation deposits are refunded if a hatch can’t fill your order.
